If
you will also notice the wood inside this Springfield
home is Burl Pine. Burl is no longer used in construction
because it is no longer available. It was actaully,
a virus growing in the pine trees in South Carolina
in 1906 this virus produced a beautiful pattern that
is now rare and known as burl. If you will notice
the bench before the staircase. This was referred
in the day to as the" Courting bench." The
young man would wait here until the young lady was
ready.

of Historic Places. Accordingly, they meet the criteria
for designation as local historic districts as defined
in the city's historic preservation ordinance.
